Moore Tech (William R. Moore College of Technology) is proud to be part of the on-going legacy of Memphis. Moore Tech continues to bring the needed training and education to the community. We are proud of the programs offered and the many lives we change. With over 100 years of combined education, experience, and classic Memphis, "Grit & Grind" ALL employees of Moore Tech continue to push forward to ensure ALL people have a place where they can learn and grow.

Skip Redmond, E.D.S. - President

Skip Redmond was hired in September 2012 as President of William R. Moore College of Technology.  Mr. Redmond is “honored to be a part of the college.  It has a reputation of excellent vocational education and is a big part of Memphis’ rich history."  In 2019 Mr. Redmond charged legislative efforts to have the college be granted the use of Tennessee Promise to high school graduates of Tennessee.  Additionally, Mr. Redmond worked hard to bring in $17.1million dollars worth of donations and funding for the College since his arrival to the college.  He continues to work with area leaders on the state and federal level to increase opportunities for the students of the College. 

Mr. Redmond earned a BA and MA in Education from Georgetown College and an ED.S. in Educational Administration from the University of Arkansas as well as a Professional Marketing Certification from Concordia University.

Mr. Redmond has served in the field of education for the past 40 years.  He is a former college basketball coach, a High School Principal and previously held the position as a fundraising officer at a local private school.  As fundraising officer, Mr. Redmond raised over 24 million dollars in gifts and pledges.  

Mr. Redmond has been married to his wife Michelle for 40 years.  They have two daughters, Christa and Lyndsey and three grandchildren, Jackson, Chloe and Sydney Bryce.  His favorite Bible verse is one he lives by – Joshua 24:15, “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
