In collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team, Human Resource, Student Services, and College Directors Moore Tech has formulated a plan to get both students and staff back to training and work. This task force created plans and related policies to clearly define the responsibility of both staff and students. Further, Moore Tech has provided the opportunity if needed for staff and students to continue both employment and education due to circumstances that may threaten their health.
Hello Moore Tech Students & Other Interested Parties:
Moore Tech continues to work hard on creating a safe work plan for staff and students. Keeping each of you in mind, Moore Tech's Winter Trimester starting on 1/4/2022 will run at full capacity. Students you will continue to receive information.
When on campus you will be required to follow these guidelines: Have a mask and wear it, wash & sanitize your hands frequently, practice social distancing, and clean and disinfect your workstations as directed.
Below are the guidelines to be aware of:
Students and staff will be required to use the Moore Tech APP. A special COVID Screening will be required to use daily upon entering any of Moore Tech's Campuses. Within the APP students will be asked series of questions. Students are to answer them honestly. Once screening is complete students are required to show green checkmark to college representative (who will be waiting by all entry doors of each campus).
Student COVID Screening will be stored electronically by the Administration of Moore Tech.
Students will not be admitted to class AFTER 15 minutes of class start, the student will need to contact the instructor for missed class.
Students must wear mouth covering masks while on campus.
Students displaying symptoms, who have been exposed to COVID-19 or testing positive for COVID-19 need to contact Karen Treas 901-359-7787.
Students will disinfect their station at the beginning and end of each lab session. Disinfectant and hand sanitizer will be provided by and monitored by the instructor.
Day and Night Low-Pressure Boiler Students: You will remain taking that course via remote/online as it is all theory (book work). .
During this process, your health and safety are our primary concerns. We need your help to ensure everyone remains healthy and safe. Please communicate with your instructor if you need accommodations. Instructors are prepared to work with you to ensure your continued success with Moore Tech. We have been working very hard on ensuring we can get each of you back on to campus to continue your program of work. We have created a safe work plan for staff and students and have received approval from our city officials. Keeping each of you in mind, Moore Tech will begin on-site labs on June 3, 2020, at 50% capacity. Your instructors will provide you more details in your zoom sessions Monday and Tuesday. Please make sure to continue to attend them.
When on campus you will be required to follow these guidelines: Have a mask and wear it, wash & sanitize your hands frequently, practice social distancing, and clean and disinfect your work stations as directed.
Students WILL be checked for temperature variations DAILY, If attending multiple classes throughout the day, temperatures will be checked at each entry point. Students will be asked the following questions before admitted to campus:
(1) Have you had a temperature of 100.4 in the last 24 hours?
(2) Have you been exposed to anyone with the COVID-19 virus?
(3) Have you tested positive for COVID-19 virus, if so when?
Temperatures less than 100.4F will be admitted to attend class. A private screening will occur for each student. A daily log will be kept to monitor temperature variations.
Main Campus students are to line up at the west entrance under the awning closest to the IE and HVAC labs. Students are to stand at or on the sign to maintain proper social distance.
Welding Campus students will enter the main entrance, and maintain social distance on or at the designated signs.
Auto Campus students will enter at the main entrance, and maintain social distance on or at the designated signs.
ONLY 10 students will be allowed to line up at a time. Students without temperature will be given a RED stamp to attend AM classes, and a BLUE stamp to attend PM classes.
Students will need to stay in their vehicle until instructed by the parking lot monitor.
Students displaying symptoms will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.
Students will be allowed to attend Zoom classes for the time of quarantine.
Students who have been exposed to COVID-19 or testing positive for COVID-19 will be asked to self-isolate for 14 days, and may NOT return until a negative test is processed. Proof of the negative test will need to come from a health care professional or the Health Department.
Students are to attend ONLY the lab they are enrolled in, or other designated areas to maintain proper social distance. Room 105, the auditorium, and computer lab on the main campus will be available to those students that do not leave campus between classes. Designated areas are marked to maintain proper social distance.
Students will be allowed breaks at the instructor’s supervision, social distance will be maintained in break areas.
The use of microwaves or coffee makers for the general public is prohibited at this time. Students are asked to wipe the vending machine before or after use.
Day and Night Low-Pressure Boiler Students: You will remain taking that course via remote/online as it is all theory (book work).
General Education (AAT) classes will continue via remote/online.
Day Students: Each day you will need to arrive at 7:30am to begin the check-in procedures. Classes will begin promptly at 8:30am. Please be in your designated Lab areas by that time. We will be processing students one by one so please come early.
Night Students: If your night class falls on Monday/Wednesday you will need to arrive at 5:30pm on June 3, 2020, and thereafter to begin check-in procedures. Classes will begin promptly at 6:30pm. Tuesday/Thursday classes will begin on June 4th.

All returning students from last trimester: Please bring your textbooks back to campus. We will have an area for you to turn them in prior to checking in.
